Painting is not a pastime for me; it is a way of being. It’s non-negotiable. My art is driven by a need to explore what is hidden inside us all. The subconscious cycles that metastasize into the destruction of the natural world, each other, us. Through dreams, politics, esoteric symbolism, past trauma, sentimentality, and observing who and what is around me, I find endless inspiration. These are subjects and patterns that allured me since childhood. My process begins by lighting candles and mentally orbiting around different subjects. Noticing the intensity, then finding the right symbols. This past year my work has revolved heavily around beds, and bedrooms.

Oil paint came into my life at fifteen and we are going on ten years strong. In the beginning I had no idea what the hell I was doing, like all young artists. Through trial, error, time and effort I taught myself everything I know. I look forward to learning more, as always.
